I must give justice to the way the author presented her personal struggles with her disease. The apt description of the different phases of bipolar disorder is presented in a language that patients can relate to and empathize with. She walked us through her trials, troubles and triumph.
I join the millions who will undoubtedly applaud this book as Lora shows her tenacity in beating this disease with increasing ferociousness through each episode.
“Running Uphill” is a book that says it all. Lora has done an excellent job of offering anyone with the disease and their loved ones a down-to-earth and easily comprehensible presentation of the many ways by which the illness may present.

"This is the story of one's woman's struggle with, and recovery from depression, and ultimately bipolar disorder. It is a story replete with discouragement, fear, and sometimes, defeat. It is an ongoing necessity that those not afflicted can at least partially comprehend its magnitude and not stand in judgment of something they do not understand."
