About The Author
Originally from California, Lora Inman has lived in many states across the U.S. She and her husband Michael, currently divide their time between their homes in Jacksonville, FL and Kirkland, WA.
Running Uphill is a personal memoir of her struggle with depressive illness and her recovery. Her book sheds light on major depression and bipolar from the viewpoint of one who has personally experienced both. It offers hope to those who have been or currently are struggling with depression or bipolar disorder and also provides a more comprehensive understanding for the family, friends, and any others who interact on some level with the victims of an illness that affects an estimated 20 million Americans.
Ms Inman received the 2009 POW! Award for her book. She is an active member of NAMI and DBSA and recently received her Florida certification as a Recovery Peer Specialist in the mental health field.
